Who Can Use This Website?

STEMforGIRLS is for everyone, but it’s especially designed for junior high and high school girls.

WRDC’s definition of “Girls” refers to anyone who identifies as a girl and explicitly includes not only cis girls but also trans girls, anyone who identifies as non-binary, nonconforming and/or gender fluid; and anyone, irrespective of assigned gender at birth, gender identity and gender expression, who has experienced or is subject to experiencing discrimination based on identifying as a girl and/or being identified by others as a girl.


Registration & Features

By registering on our website, you gain access to:

The Learning Lab: Explore STEM careers that match your interests, earn virtual badges, and track your progress.
STEMforGIRLS Chapters: If available at your school, you can participate in special STEM activities and events.
STEM Kits: If you live in Newfoundland and Labrador, you could receive STEM activity kits in the mail. The kits are based on age recommendations and availability.
Age-Based Data Collection

The information we collect depends on your age:

Under 13: A guardian must complete all consent forms. We collect only basic registration data.
Ages 13-15: You can consent to basic registration data and closed-format feedback.
Ages 16+: You can consent to registration data, media releases, and all types of feedback.

Optional Participation

Sharing media (photos, videos), testimonials, and feedback is always optional. You are not required to participate, and there are no penalties for choosing not to provide media or feedback.
