What do you love most about your profession? Why did you choose this career?

I chose this career path because I believe climate change is the most pressing issue of our time. I love my job because I know I am contributing to solutions everyday - even if the impact is small in the grand scheme of things, very step forward matters.

What does your typical workday involve? Can you work remotely? (indoors/outdoors, office/plant, travel time, teamwork/solo work)?

I work from home on my computer full time and it works great for me (my cat loves it too). A typical day will involve a few virtual meetings with my team or with clients as well as independent work.

In what ways are you able to be creative and innovative in your role?

Even though I studied engineering and a lot of my work is technical, I am often able to apply my graphic design experience to my work. I have created diagrams, infographics, and illustrations for various projects and initiatives in order to effectively communicate concepts to the intended audience.

What do you do when you feel stuck?

My work often involves brainstorming and problem solving. I find that stepping away from my desk and taking a walk can help generate new ideas and make connections.
