Get To Know Me

What do you love most about your profession? Why did you choose this career?

I love my career because I help one to succeed in their life. I always dreamt of being an Educator, or some career in the educational field, because Education impacts the lives on Earth, more than anything else.

When did you realize you wanted to work in STEM or Skilled Trades?

From my childhood, I loved studying math and science. But during high school, only I realized the vacuum and challenges for women in careers related to these streams. I really wanted to take the challenge and succeed.

Why do we need more women in STEM and Skilled Trades?

The first thing is, that women are capable, there are a lot of opportunities, so women can fill those positions for the betterment of their lives and others. The second thing is, that those industries would benefit from the versatilities, women would bring into their positions.

What does your typical workday involve? Can you work remotely? (indoors/outdoors, office/plant, travel time, teamwork/solo work)?

Instructing students in class and labs. Preparation of course materials, guiding and advising the students towards academic success.

Who is your role model? What is it about this person that inspires you?

I look up and admire all the women who strive to achieve in their personal and professional life. In recent days I have been inspired by my sister, who is persistent and achieving in her career.

What do you do for fun? What are some of your hobbies/activities?

I love to listen to music, cooking and garden. I love to be outdoors, hiking, sightseeing, and enjoying Mother Nature. More to that, I love being with children, playing with them, helping them learn things and watching them, helping students to explore things themselves.

What advice would you give students who might be considering a career like yours? What advice would you have given your younger self?

Do not step back from your passion, ability, skills or yearning you have towards this area, just because you are a girl. Like someone would say to you, it’s not suitable for girls. Or you would see someone is having a hard time because they are a girl/woman… Nothing should stop you from succeeding, if you really want to achieve, hold that fire within you and work hard.

Additional Info

I want to be part of the success and happiness in the lives of people as much as I can, which will fulfil my dream.
