Each scholarship and bursary listed below has specific eligibility qualifications but is available to applicants in Newfoundland and Labrador. We have listed scholarships available to high school students interested in entering post-secondary education and some for those already enrolled in post-secondary. Deadlines for scholarships vary and can be found via the provided links. Many of these scholarships are past their 2022 deadline but keep them on your radar! Chances are applications will be open in fall 2022 or the near future.
Memorial University – Entrance scholarships for qualifying Canadian students, enrolled in Newfoundland and Labrador high schools. To qualify for an early scholarship offer, students must have a yearly admission average of 85% or higher. (See the tab Entrance Scholarships for those applicable to high school students)
Government of NL – 201 scholarships are available each year to high school students through the education department. Their value ranges from $1000 to $2500 and is based on the Department of Education scholarship score.
College of the North Atlantic (CNA) – An extensive list of Scholarships and Awards available through CNA.
Trades NL – Must be a dependent (child, grandchild, or partner) of a member of one of the 16 building trades unions. A resident of NL. Completed high school and are enrolled full-time at a recognized post-secondary institution.
